A new guide explains the subject of perimeter protection clearly and concisely to enable specifiers, facilities managers, security managers, and consultants to identify the optimum security measures for particular premises and threats; it covers not only high-security fencing, barriers, and gates, but also electric pulse systems and associated security measures such as access controls, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems
Procter Fencing Systems published a free Guide to High-Security Perimeter Protection, which was launched at the Counter Terror Expo 2011 that took place at Olympia, London, on 19-20 April 2011. This Guide, together with a Fencing Selector and two White Papers relating to powered sliding gates, was available on a CD for visitors to request from the exhibition stand.
A company release says that the Guide explains the subject clearly and concisely to enable specifiers, facilities managers, security managers, and consultants to identify the optimum security measures for particular premises and threats. It covers not only high-security fencing, barriers, and gates, but also electric pulse systems and associated security measures such as access controls, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
In addition, the Guide has a table of British, European, and International Standards relating to perimeter security, and lists of useful resources and sources for more information. “The Guide therefore helps readers to make the right decisions so that the selected perimeter security measures provide the necessary level of protection at an acceptable cost and without unduly compromising aesthetics,” the company says.
