During natural disasters businesses can easily lose critical data or email capabilities when servers are damaged or destroyed, but with Databarracks, a U.K. disaster recovery service, business owners can breathe a bit easier.

On Tuesday Databarracks announced the launch of its Hosted Exchange solution, which allows companies to host email servers in a virtually indestructible location – a former U.K. Ministry of Defense bunker designed to protect critical systems in the event of a nuclear war.

The Tier Four data center has been certified to withstand both natural and man-made disasters. In addition it is patrolled twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week by security professionals.

“Many companies are nervous about hosting their IT systems in the cloud. They want to know where their data is being stored, on what hardware and with what security. Our Hosted Exchange platforms are based in an ultra-secure data center offering unbeatable levels of physical and digital safety,” said Peter Groucutt, the managing director of Databarracks.

Hosted Exchange is the perfect stepping stone between traditional internally managed IT systems and the cloud. Changes in cloud infrastructure and Microsoft licensing mean that for many companies having a flexible approach to Exchange is more cost-effective,” Groucutt added.

According to Groucutt, Databarracks’ prices are comparable to other providers and uses HP Blade array servers along with Network RAID 10 and Storage RAID 5 for maximum resiliency.

“We put our decade of experience providing online backup and DR services into giving an enhanced Hosted Exchange service and our expert technicians are on hand to provide free round the clock support 365 days a year,” Groucutt said.
