A company with a patented method for detecting anthrax has more funds to accelerate development and marketing of the system
Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB: UDTT) (FWB:PO8), a developer of bioterror monitoring technologies, said it has received notices from warrant holders to exercise 6,122,470 shares of Universal Detection’s warrants at $0.15 per share. Upon settlement of all funds, Universal will receive gross proceeds of $918,370. Universal said it would use the money to accelerate the development and marketing of its anthrax detection device and other homeland security technologies. Universal’s lead product, the BSM-2000, is an airborne anthrax detector which uses next-generation spore-detection technology developed by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and licensed exclusively to UDT.
