IBM Australia acquires disaster recovery company with more than 300 corporate clients

St. Leonards, New South Wales-based IBM Australia has acquired Australian business continuity services provider, Classic Blue. Sydney, Australia-based Classic Blue is a privately owned company with a decade-and-a-half history in providing business continuity services and business recovery facilities. Classic Blue’s offerings include security and systems solutions, managed services, and professional services, delivered from recovery centers in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. The acquisition will allow IBM to extend its geographical capabilities, particularly in South Australia and Queensland. Classic Blue specializes in designing, building, and managing business continuity and disaster recovery solutions for small-to-medium businesses, with a client base of nearly 300 such organizations. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
